Is it true that Emi Suzuki was an orphan in China?

It's not likely that she was an orphan. Most reports say that she emigrated to Japan when she was 12 . . . something she couldn't have done by herself. There's no mention of Japanese adoptive parents, nor any mention of an orphanage.
