I want to know a little more about this?

C/C what greeks and trojans are fighting for in the Lliad. Ostensibly, one side is defending their homeland while the other is defending their honor, but what other motivations seem to be in play? Plunder, glory, hatred, pride, bloodlust, rapine, envy, duty.... consider also what motivates the gods to take sides.
