Do I have rights? I was treated unfairly.?

Over the past few months I have been forced to work in a hostile working environment. I have good intentions and really had a lot of pion for my job. This is rare, I know. A new addition to the small work environment was unjustifiably haring to me on top of very poor work performance that many people complained about. I chose to keep my composure around them and hope that they just wouldn't work there very much longer. It made me dread going to work for the first time ever over the 2 years I had worked there. I brought the problem to my manager, but she didn't respect my privacy during "disiplinary action" and it made the working relationship between the cruel person and I much worse. I was also instructed that I would have to deal with it because they couldn't fire them. I recently quit on the spot because it was far to straining and became more than I could handle anymore. I really loved working there until they hired this person. It's depressing trying to cope and start over, when I feel that I was treated unfairly. Do I have any rights? Did they break their Equal Opportunity Laws? The company hand book states that bullying, intimidation, haring, and creating hostile working environments between co-workers is unacceptable and will cause immediate termination. What should I do now?
