Im really confused with clics homework! anyone know about virgils book?

I have to write a character ysis... i chose Aeneas but im so confused if he is the one that found rome or the father of the guy that found rome! and also does anyone know what powers Venus gave him? i think its a cloak that he cant be killed in but not sure :s
