I have all the earmarks of a retinal detachment?

I had vertical flashes of light on both sides of one eye, then excessive floaters. Optomap showed nothing, but I have these black dots on bottom of my vision. Its been 3 weeks since the first episode happened. Could the black dot be my retina detaching. How long does it take for the retina to detach? Thank u
