For U.S. Army Infantry?

11C is not moved to artillery because mortars do not have enough in common with artillery and require a different support structure and are smaller and require fewer ets. They are also attached at the company and battalion level to provide a more responsive immediate fire support et. I've worked with 11Cs attached to a scout troop and they seemed pretty excited about their work. I know if I joined as an 11X and I got stuck with 11C I wouldn't be happy. If I wanted to play with fire support like that, I would have just gone 13B. After all, a 120mm mortar has more kick (just less range) than a 105mm howitzer.
