Proper dress attire for a new design (pcb) position?

Hi. My husband is starting a new pcb designer job on this Monday. He has the same position now but in a more casual dress. Can someone give me an idea of dress for him that is something different than Khakis pants and a tucked in on up shirt? Yuck. He's a big guy in the middle and this look does not work for him. It's not suit level but not T-shirt level either. Any ideas? Thanks
